Thought I'd give you all a heads up.
Get Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007 for $75 from Microsoft. All you need is a uni email address. http://www.itsnotcheating.com.au/ This is legit...run by Microsoft. If you or a friend has a uni email address, I reccommend you take MS up on this offer!! This normally retails for $1000! Some threads on this deal for more info: http://forums.overclockers.com.au/sh...d.php?t=553041 http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum...s.cfm?t=692697

Awesome stuff, thanks for the info. Woohoo I have a uni address with Monash Uni and I am also working.
Studying at home so I can maybe get a better job rather than just being a 'car detailer' till I am crippled.

No worries guys...just had to let people know about it...too good a chance to pass up...
I reckon this is the first time ever I will actually be paying for an MS product and be running a legit version! : Also running free Vista Ultimate and Live Onecare (gotta love beta testing!) which are both legit...what is the world coming to... Anyone notice the "its not cheating" line number 5 on the site? IT'S NOT CHEATING IF: YOU DON'T GET CAUGHT Sounds like someone at Microsoft dind't really think that one through!

I'm pretty sure my work gets a similar deal via Microsoft re : Office and Vista (not 100% on vista). Years ago I could have had XP for $49.95 if I remember correctly. Basically we'd go on works site license. All we had to do is buy and use our work email address gov.au.

Even though I'm taking a year off uni, I know exactly how hard it can be financially for a uni student. I struggled to make ends meet in the last couple of years, so much so that I am taking a year off to work, to earn money, and make it easier for myself next year. Uni certainly isn't cheap, plus when you are there for 5 days a week, it doesn't give you much chance to work. The fact is, students want to work to earn a living, but you need to be properly trained to do a lot of jobs (for example I'm studying to be an electrical engineer... You can't just go and get an apprenticeship to do that sort of work). So I think it's a great idea that students get a discount
