I was speaking to my dealer today and apparently the 40th anniversary GT has been confirmed to be released for the MMS. I was told there would only be 200 released but no other details were available. Let's hope it's something special. :

Chances are it will be loaded full of more gear to make it even heavier and slower
IMO they should strip it out give it a weight reduction. Track biased tyres and suspension. Increased power !!

I'll believe it when I see it.
If it does become reality it needs to be special, not just a few badges, stripes, and 'fat GT' extra's. I for one can't see anything amazingly different to what is already in the FPV catalogue, the major surprise and delights will surely come with Orion - FPV won't spend a lot of money on a 4 year old model will they ? |

What about unique stitching on the seats and FPV logos on the brake pedal rubber!

There was something mentioned in an article about a revised Superoo logo.

New Serif badge font and triple stripe package, and if we're lucky we might even get a #40 painted on the doors.
Of course I hope there will actually be something worthy when it's finally revealed. |

Left field idea.
MMS is in Oct. Orion is due early 2008 so will be sorted by Oct. So........ Orion GT engine in BF chassis with all GT-P goodies and better suspension at $+15k i.e $+5k over GT-P. As I stated earlier......left field. New management might want to shake it all up. |

I reckon it will have stripes down the center of the car. Or they will all be a special gold colour with black stripes down the side like the original.

The V10 rumours are wrong.
The Cleveland is coming back, alloy block & 671. Oops, no that's what I'd like for my ute. Oh well, we will just have to wait and see. Ed |
