well surely everyone's sick of seeing Australia win...I mean even last yr when Sri Lanka won the first final and had Australia 3/10 in the 2nd final Australia still came back and won the whole series....kick out Shane Watson and problem's solved...dunno why the selectors love him so much....Cameron White's much better

im not a sport person really (unless it has an engine) but i do sometimes watch cricket if there is nothing else on.
at the moment cricket's getting old really quick.
OZ always wins (wow) and its like a national tragedy when we dont.
good luck to England i guess, but at the end of the day i couldnt care less if Kirkmanistan won.
not saying you shouldnt have national pride, but come on, after winning so much, we HAVE to look like cheaters. even the commentary is Aussie biased.

It was an interesting match. Australia seemed to be heading to well over 300 then were pegged back. England looked down and out in the first 10 overs but ended up winning.

i support australia in every sport except league & cricket....in cricket they're just so upthemselves...particularly mcgrath just look at the way he was carrying on tonight...even the umpire wasn't too pleased with his antics

haha fair point you make there....but personally I love the Aus commentators. I don't think they are too biased I mean sure they support Australia but you can tell they want the opposition to do well against Australia

yeh i nearly choked when i saw 253 cause when i turned off the tv to do some other things I thought 280+ was guaranteed....it was a minor hiccup at the end...something I believe wouldn't have happened if Symonds was playing and/or Shane Watson WASN'T playing

I love the cricket and the Aussies and I dont think they are up themselves - tall poppy syndrome sufferers may disagree...

I also think that tonight's game was a good game. I love a really good game and England did really well. They should be proud of how well they did, given what they have been up against in the past. It might make the rest of the finals interesting.

So, even though we lost, I say it was a good game to watch and it was good for cricket...

the ashes weren't that great when you consider simon jones and vaughn didn't play...without those 2 and england would not have won the 2005 ashes

some how i think the aussie where missing a couple of top line bowlers in 95 so saying that vaughn and jones one it for them is a pretty big statement

i don't think it's tall poppy syndrome....i don't know a cricket team who shows more dissent to umpires than Australia...I mean most of the team is ok now but people like Mcgrath & Warne always carry on like kids with ADHD...even when they're ahead of the game

well if you actually saw the series whenever Jones went off injured the only bowler that looked like getting a wicket was Flintoff...just look @ Jones' figures...he took a few 5 wicket haul's in the series...he was by far the best bowler....I'm not making any excuses for England we all know Australia's better than England ...All I'm saying is England have to be at full strength to have any chance of beating Australia....having Mcgrath injured in one of the tests helped England win the series too

yeah i agree on what you are saying but i think mcgrath was missing more than one test from my memory of it

The ball was secretly replaced with a ball of soap so the poms would have a chance. Being the bunch of soap dodgers they are they did all they could to keep the ball of soap away and scored the runs to win in the process.

I would have like Australia to be out of the finals as the One Day Internationals are a waste of time. Even the World Cup...it's only there as it draws a crowd and it helps fund Test Cricket. If we win...great. If we don't...pfft.

IMO, the ONLY cricket is test cricket.

Test Cricket boares me to tears. Give me 1 dayers anytime.
I watched a bit of that XXXX Beach cricket, it was mildly entertaining and light hearted for a change and was good to see some old faces come out for some fun.
It is good when other teams win as well, adds spice to it all, gets the crowds pumped.

I like all cricket: tests, one dayers and Twenty20s; as each is a different game which requires the same amount of different skills.

I would like to see Australia win the series because I think they deserve it. (I am a bit paranoid about people/teams getting what they deserve in sport; whether I barrack for them or not.) I also want them to win because I don't want "Freddie Flintoff" to become "Sir Freddie Flintoff".

In saying that, Collingwood played an excellant game tonight in the field and with the bat.

just came back from the game not so long ago, but gotta say it was the best cricket game I've been to as it's always a one sided white wash, even joined the bandwagon once they picked up england.

I bet it was rigged to make things more interesting, there's no way Australia can loose.
