go to http://www.justcarinsurance.com.au and get a quote through there.. itll be under Nissan and private import.. (they are the only company that'd insure me for one when i was getting quotes)

if it doesnt come up with an automatic quote, put in your name and email address.. and within 24 hours (usually only an hour or so for me, if that!) youll get an email with a quote..

for me (got licence in 2004 and 19) it was about 2500-3000 a year for a r33 gts-t..

dont quote from a gtr, as that premium would be even higher!

For me, at age 19 (21 now) to insure a 300 zx Twin turbo manual, it was going to be $4500 a year. Hence why I drive my Falcon, the insurance payments were big then my loan payments.

Best to find a Sklyine Forum via google and join them and ask them as they will have better answers for you since some of them will have same or similar cars.

Good Luck

I am insured with Just Cars, also try www.rynoinsurance.com.au or www.shannons.com.au .
FYI, I pay about $1000 for full comp and quite a few modifications listed.

As Feathers said go to SAU. They will most likely have an insurance thread there as most car sites do.

A GTST and GT-R are very different cars and I doubt they would be treated the same with any insurance company. You might aswell get a GT-R otherwise ;)

If you're talking about online quotes, I'd give them a ring for an exact quote. I was quoted $2700 for my WRX online but ended up paying $3355.

Just cars have to match the online quote dude.. When I first got my EL I sussed this out.

I mentioned to the person on the phone that I had completed an online quote but was having trouble finding the quote number, so she suggested we just walk through and she'd give me the quote over the phone so I accepted.

The online quote was $1402. She quoted $2150. At this point I magically found the quote number and told her "No way, the online system quoted me $1402."

If this was the case, they are obliged to award that for sure, otherwise what's the point of the system?

And more on topic - When I was 19 I almost bought a 95 R33 S2 GTS25T.. insurance was going to be $2200 full comp with Just Car

Really? Damn if I had of known. Going to **** them off anyway if I can get insured with Ryno and it's cheaper. Shannons wouldn't touch me with a ten foot pole.

Many with WRXs have saved heaps with them, and I'm sure a lot of Jap cars too.
