Community Builder: In recognition of those who have helped build the AFF community. - Issue reason: Raptor: For Continued, and prolonged service to the wider Ford Community
Default AFF 2nd Anniversary

Well it's that time again - AFF celebrates it's 2nd anniversary today.

In the last year ....

We have seen membership grow from 12,540 to 27,332 - 118 % more.
We have seen posts increase from 427,000 to 1,147,000 - 143 % more.
We have gone from being unranked on Big Boards to being number 1085.
Our BB activity ranking is 127 (out of 1800).
Our BB page view ranking is an amazing 87.

It's been a year where we have seen some great events in each State and I'd like to extend my thanks and that of the entire admin team to those people who dedicate their time and effort to making those events work.

We've assisted a range of charities through some of these events and that's something I find personally rewarding and of which we can all be proud.

We've had some technical issues but upgraded our server twice to deal with those issues and the efforts of the tech team have made this possible - our present bandwidth use (by the way) runs to over a terabyte per month!

We have a great group of supporting sponsors many of whom have been first in line to assist with events and without whom this forum would not be able to sustain the growth it has. My thanks to them for their support and friendship.

We have a great team of moderators both at the club and general forum level and I'd also like to extend my thanks to each and every one of them for their efforts this last year. Without them it would be impossible for the admin team to maintain this forum as a decent community for all.

Almost last - but by no means least - I want to thank my fellow admins for their dedication, time, money and effort which keeps all of the wheels turning in a smooth manner. They are the core on which this forum was built and their wisdom, support and guidance have been invaluable - it has made the task of chairing this site much easier than it would have been otherwise.

Finally to each of the members here. The forum cannot exist without the input of everyone who contributes their thoughts, views and opinions and works to build the community spirit here.

To you all I wish a prosperous and joyful 2007 on behalf of the admin team.

Best regards
Russ
Chairman
AFF

Well done Russ, I say well done to you for all the behind the scenes work that makes it all happen. Without it we'd be stuffed.

Glad to be a part of AFF and looking forward to seeing it grow even more.

Two years? And to think it seems like yesterday we were starting to take over the original FF.com after leaving BON. My time has flown.

Good stuff! Thats awesome, particularly the growth of the site.

I think this place means a lot to people. There are lots of friendships made and even relationships formed. Eamon and myself met on these forums as have many others, and we now have our unofficial AFF mascot, Toby, who was born this year and has attended quite a few forum events and has had his picture posted a few times!!! Hehehe.

Thanks to all those people who do so much behind the scenes stuff (the real hard work) on this site to make it so effortless and fun to use for every one of its members.

Lets hope we can increase the DM count as well!

Cheers guys

Jac and Eamon

Great stuff, those stats were very interesting,
But can i make a suggestion?
When some one signs up, there should be a warning about the addictiveness (its a word now) the hole in spare time and also the fact it may induce mods that will have an adverse affect on your savings....
