Default Ipod direct cable vs transmitter

I can find the info any where on google.

I just want to know.....

1. Is their a sound quality differance with the Ipod connected via cable vs radio transmitter?

2. If so how much for an improvement? Do you think its worth changing my CD player?

3.I currently have the transmitter and it doesnt sound as good as a CD does. If u buy a new CD player with cable input will it sound as good as a CD?

any help from people with personal experiance will great

I've got an Eclipse CD3000 with the iPod interface, and it is worth every cent, I can control the iPod through the headunit so I can just chuck it in the glovebox and forget about it.

Direct answer - yes there is a big sound difference between an FM modulator and a direct line input.

Because of the various conversions that need to be made:

Digital to analogue, analogue to FM signal, transmitted by modulator, received by radio, decode FM signal and send analogue sound to speakers.

They have an auxillary input accessory dont they? Or at least, there's a kit available.

If the AUX input is RCA, you'll need:

3.5mm TRS plug (aka "headphone" plug) to twin RCA cable will be required.

(lol, dont get a 2m long one tho!)

(again, dont get the 2m version lol)

FM Modulators are crap !!
I have tried alot of them, and most of them have bugger all stereo seperation, Direct input is the only way to go if you want quality
