nah available on all platforms, and the diference between most wanted and carbon is carbon is focusing more on the drifting side of things, with a whole lot more customization...ive only played the demo and it looks pretty good from what ive seen. Pretty sure release date is the 9th atleast thats what EB games told me. And yeh the muscle cars sound awesome, should be a good game when its released.

Just an observation, carbon full version is available for download on bit torrent, so does that mean its been released overseas? or that people have somehow got pre-release copies.

Is it ricey, like NFSUG 1 and 2?
I'll probably get it, but nothing beats the original NFSs.;) |

never mind figure out utorrent and yeh to be honest it has its ricey parts, but it also has its muscle and thank christ there are no kits that consist of nothing but fibreglass crap for the muscle cars although ive only played the demo im sure theres something in the game for every type of car enthusiast.

try going to the official NFS carbon page theres an "interactive" section and shows all the cars.....and my dream cars are there...merc/mclaren SLR/ DB9 ... a car i own dodge charger RT, car id love to own hemi cuda, Ford GT new mustang gt500 and old one, and the rest in between.
i hope this game will allow users to download new content so it doesnt become like NFS UG 1/2 they got boring after a while.....they should make it the WOW (world of warcraft) of NFS (need for speed series) enjoy

yeh it has the same feeling and appeal as most wanted just focusing more on the drift side of it, and bringing bak the drift physics from nfs2 which were probably the best ive seen

I personally rekon nfsu1 and 2 and mw are much better. The graphics are good, the autosculpt thing is interesting and you can make some pretty cool wheels.
The drifting is pretty crap, its like its over sensitive but once you get the hang of it .. its still crap. The crew members thing is like trying to rip of juiced, and then making it self much crapper. You can have like a crew member that goes and blocks other cars for you, which is just stupid, the game is easy enough without that. Cars don't sound bad, they have a decent note to them. Overall, its pretty meh. Can be fun, and the modifying can be cool, but overall not that great.

i found mw was very poor, very limited mods but as far as cars went it was the first time in a while they brought exotics into it, but by far nfs2 was the best one next to the old most wanted on ps1

I've been playing it for the past 4 and a bit hours, its pretty good. Though i am playing it on the computer, i cant wait to see what it will look like on the XBOX. The only thing i can really grump about is the drifting, its pretty bad, its more like highspeed slides than acutal drifting. It pretty much goes on how fast your travelling through the corner, rather than angle *shrugs* Ive had fun drifting in the SS camaro, and the SRT-8 300c, you can imagine how awkward the 300c looks

Can you drive a cop car in Carbon? I actually enjoy doing the chasing rather than being chased.

Installed and played briefly tonight, not sure about this "wingman" thing though...
Largely it seems to be just "more of the same", nothing I was all that impressed with so far. I still find I'm going back to Toca3 & GTR2 more than anything! Then again, there's always NFS2SE, still the best in the series!

I've been playing it, and while I enjoy the graphics and the large range of cars, there are a few things that annoy me. One is drift mode. It sucks, I didn't mind the drifts in the underground series but this is pathetic. It isn't about car control, it's all about speed.
The second thing is, there are all these cars I want to unlock, but need to play online, or do all sorts of fancy stuff to unlock. It should be easier to unlock all the cars. Thirdly, at times the framerate drops significantly. I'm not running a bad system, I can even run Doom3 without difficulty but Most Wanted and Carbon seem to struggle a bit.
