Default rotary merc ... what the ...

it is 5speed though, don't know how practical putting a small motor in a car that weighs 1.5tonne lol

Jeez thats an odd conversion, the old 20b would have been a better match than the 13b.

a few years ago there was an older white merc up here (qld) with a similar motor and air bag suspension if i remember correctly, but the exterior was stock right down to the standard merc wheels

Not for the public to buy. But they did make the C111 series of cars for rotary proof-of-concept

http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=103&i=6730

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_C111

The V8 Isdera Imperator 108i was based on the B+B (80's German tuner) CW111 which was a cheeky re-interperation of the original C111

Could be a badly misguided attempt at a homage to the C111. It fails.

Admire the attempt at uniqueness, but no thanks.

Anyone else notice the ridiculous camber on that rear wheel!

Its not some obscure "rotary merc" replica! its a merc styled on the Japanese VIP trend. Looks great IMO, not hte best engine match up though, they shouldve gone the 1JZ!!!!
