Default Uncovered VEs

Just spotted 6-7 new VEs heading down Wellington Rd. They where uncovered and I must say, they look DAMN SEXY!

Noticed some of the number plates where along the lines of VESV-8, VESS-1, and so on.

The front guard flares are still too big, they have not grown on me, the rest of the car is pretty good looking though as an overall package.

I haven't seen a VE, in the flesh yet, but going by a pic I saw of one, at someone's workplace, at SC.com, they need some serious lowering.

HAHA Hitman! Seriously, just got the new Motor Mag and their boys took an SS-V by the scruff of the neck and managed to pull a 5.3 something 0-100km/h and 13.4 something on the quarter (manual).

I seen a black one heading through Cranbourne heading to Melbourne on Monday night about 7pm. Looked like a BMW until I pulled up behind and seen the Holden badge. Smelt like the clutch and brakes had been given death. Good on them.

When I read Drive a coupla weeks ago, when I looked at the review on the VE, I thought the front of it already looks terrible. I thought it was an older Astra at first glance.

The back is nice. But the front is plain and already tired. They spent a billion dollars developing the car...how much of that actually went towards the car, and the rest on giggle-cream, silly string, coffee and other delights?

yeh i saw about a dozen of them this morning on the way in to work, mostly SS, and one calais.

the first one i saw i though woahh butt ugly, but they have grown on me really quickly. I still think the back doesnt quite match the front, but it with each one i see i like it more

Just read the Go Auto review and they absolutely love them, especially the SSV which they also claim Holden as being "on the money" with it's 5.4 sec 0-100

I saw a SS or SSZ in Homebush Bay on Saturday. Looks average, the car hasn't really grown on me.

Camouflaged Caprice/Statesman heading north up
Clayton Road (when I was at the Princes Highway intersection)

I thought about chasing after it and getting some pics
for about half a second -
then i thought...

yes well the hype will settle down soon enough - i'm just curious to see what Ford do in relation to power figures, if anything. Saw this SV6 at a shopping centre car park the other day, front is ok, not a fan at all of the rear, tail lights are even HIGHER.. which was what i hated about the VY/VZ - crap pics but ah well:

At a quick glance that rear end looks a dead ringer for a silver F6

ok guys. As much as I love informative threads, we have all seen what they look like. So perhaps adding to the exsiting threads would be a better idea.

That said, its growing on me for sure. But they can keep the flares.

i seen one on the frankston freeway the other day, an Calais V, didnt look very bling for a calais, if it wasnt for the rims i'd have thought ti was a base model.
still not a fan of the guards, but the rest looks fairly good.

I saw one of those Calais V things up in Shepparton last week, not very Calais looking imo.

I saw the back of one parked on the side of the road out front a Holden dealership the other day. From a distance I thought it was a 380, it wasn't until I got closer that I realised it was an Omega.

I didn't get a good look at it but thought it sits too high and needs better wheels, then again, it is only the base model.

A customer at my work who is an engineer at holden brought his new company car, a black Caprice with cream leather. From every angle it looked fantastic and the interior really impressive. So much so that one will be in our driveway in the next couple months :eclipsee_

I keep seeing a taped up black SS in Bentleigh, but I've seen some photos of the Omega and the steel wheels look the same as the AWD Crewman's, so they must have finally gone to 16" on the base model?

i'd say that's a safe bet. The SV6 had 18's on it, as did the berlina i saw.. and the ss has 20's as an option.. so you'd imagine a 15 would be redundant in the lineup.. even for the Omega.. maybe they even went 17 ? ;p
