Default Looking for a new car.

Well time has come to by the boss a new car. At this point we are looking at a Lexus. The thing i like about them is even the five year old one look better then some of the new cars. have had a look a a few but as yet she hasn't decided on what model she would like. All i know is she does not want another V8, which is fine by me. Any of you have any thoughts??

How much you want to spend and what do you want a sedan or AWD type vehicle.

One of my mates dads just bought a new Lexus GS of some description, to be honest its got less room in it then a BF Falcon and considering it was well over $100,000 it really wasn't that great for the money.

If i was going to buy a luxury sedan I'd go a bemma 5 series, they are a nice car!

Lexus IS250 is a beautiful car, ive acutally driven one a Sports Luxury IS250 with the 6 speed auto box, but i dont think id pay the money they'd want for one. They are quite heavy and are slightly down on power; the suspension and steering feel is near perfect though

Personally id suggest a Subaru Liberty; you just cant go wrong with them and with 2.0L to 3.0L and turbo models, all the performance bases are covered. Build quality is also good, as is fuel economy, reliability and resale. Volvo S40/60 might also be an option.

BJ,

Depends what you are after.. I bought my wife a Lexus GS300, 2000 model. And she loves it. It is a damn fine car, and I prefer that shape rather than the other ones. One thing about Lexus, is that each car comes fully optioned. Opposed to Bemmers where you have to option them up. I probably would not buy new.... we bought ours in 2003, so the car was 3 years old, had 72k on it and we paid $47k. That car new was $115k......

But a nice car, large enough and very very comfortable
