Default How much have you spend on modifications?

I have just been crunching some numbers on how much I have spend on my car so far and how much i am intending to spend ...

Wheels: 1000
Interior: 1200
Stereo: 0
Engine: 3500
Transmission: 2000
Differential: 2000

TOTAL: 13000

very very scary if i think about it

and i am about to spend double that on a new engine and transmission and brake setup

Body mods: 300 (if tint was a body mod)
Wheels: 600
Interior: 110
Stereo: 1501
Engine (including exhaust): 510
Transmission: 0
Differential: 0
Brakes: 770

TOTAL: $3791
Not to bad I dont think, but a lot more will end up going into it. Then factor in fuel, insurance, loan repayments, rego, oil, tyres, blah blah blah, and I think it gets pretty bad.
Cheers,
Josh

Wheels: $1600
Exhaust: $300
Air Filter: $160
Stereo: $1500

My car already came lowered and with the cat back system but I replaced the muffler and a bit of pipe.

Now if we added up how much we spent servicing and replacing things, I'd cry. It would easily be double/triple what my car was bought for.

So far I've spent about $4000 since I got it Christmas 2005 :

I plan to spend another $2000-$3000 on performance mods, then I SHOULD be happy with it and start saving for my next car. I suppose it's pretty scary when you think about how much you spend :O

About $25,000 above the pruchase price on my WRX (over 6 years), 1/3 of that was the drivetrain conversion from the stock 5MT to a decent 6MT and larger driveshafts and LSD's. My wife has said $0 on the XR8 when it arrives, but I do want a decent exhaust on it, the battle begins...

Once is enough for most people, I know a few with 2 - 3 dog box rebuilds over the space of 12 - 24 months, which is why I did it properly the first time.

$2500 on the eb and thats only wheels/ suspension and another $600 over the next couple of weeks cuase the exhaust is rooted. should get a nice 3inch with hiflo bits for that.

only spent $1000 on the D that got me a pretty sweet clutch. lol thats all i needed to do on that thing... untill i stuffed the piston rings. would have spent another few grand on a new motor but the eb came along.

the next car is where the money will go. got a pretty big list and i dont even know what im gonna get lol.

The GT is up to around 20k on engine driveline and wheels not including car purchase, another 5k should see it mechanically finished and in low 11's or high 10's, but it may get a blower at some stage.
