Default Help me pick a prestige car to hire for a day!

All, I'm planning on a week up north on the Gold Coast sometime in April, and so far on each trip up there I have managed to resist hiring something exotic and ridiculous. Not this time. I think it's about time I gave in and treated myself to a day or two in something exciting!

So what I need is some suggestions of what I should hire, and the link to the site of the suggestion. So far I've got a few potentials, including an AC Cobra, Ferrari 360, M3, and even a Cayenne Turbo!

Bring them on peoples! :party3:

If its a lotof windy roads, go the M3. my mate has a 2004 328i, and this thing goes absolutely insane through windy roads. THis would leave his Ferrari for dead on a windy road. If its mainly straight, then go a Ferrari.

I cant see a 328i beating a ferrari on any type of road, not even the M3...

the 328i will leave the ferrari for dead on a tight windy road, while a ferrari will rip the beamer to shreads on a straight road. Well my mate has a tessarossa. This thing is shocking for when you wanna cane it on windy roads. hence the statement for the beamer being quicker in such a situation.

I have an awsome video clip of the M3 from top gear. But I don't know how to put it on :.

Roadsters used to hire everything and anything... now it may be only convertibles. Their main site www.roadsters.com.au is not working, here are their contact details from White Pages.

When i first got my licence i tried to hire an MX5 from them..... !

Ok ok ok, this is an example of what I need with your suggestions, otherwise they are just suggestions without any corresponding real world company I can hire them from!

Been there and done that when I moved house last year! :Reverend: Actually they had run out of Transits that day and I got a Mercedes Benz Sprinter instead, turbo diesel with tiptronic shift, automatic engine braking in 1st gear off-throttle, and a nice set of rear tyres for smoking

Consider a AMG, probably best have a Mercedes for a short period.

Something you don't see often.... I love M3s but you may as well have more people stare at you, like a bright yellow Lambo or Ferrari.. Aston Martin, TVR??

So apart from Martyvan and Mr EB_5litre, does anyone actually have any contact points for any of their suggestions? eg. links?

Still throwing around ideas, the fine print of insurance excesses on some of these things is pretty prohibitive though!
