Default Changes for froggy users on dial up

Well I recieved a letter in the mail yestersay about my ISP Froggy. They are now owned by iinet ......

They have this unlimited dial up thinggy with a web accellerator included in the deal for $24.95/mth ..........

I have just put the accellerator on & that combined with the fix of mozilla this thing is flying .......

This isnt that freeware one that used that horrid gator stuff on it .... but the complete program ......

Now to go test some piccys out to see if its really all its meant to be .... on this site its working a treat ;)

EDIT: well I jsut tested it in the show n shine section ....... I am a happy camper .... this feels almost as fast as my uncles cable stuff :

Matey ... I am on 34 whatever they thinggys are :P

This thing is reading : Without Acceleration - 25.3 kbps
With acceleration - 132.6 kbps

Im not technical at all & Im going on how fast a webpage & piccys load up ...... but those figures look pretty impressive to what Im used to ;)

Im led to believe that theres no time limits either ... although this could be an error ....... I know someone who has been online for days at a time on this dial up plan ...........

I thought those web accelerator things just make the recieving packets small so they move faster and you get more packets but they move quicker, I think thats what I read.

I have Telstra Broadband but my son uses Lizzy for his computer. Same $16.50 plan. It's actually not too bad. The speed is reasonable for that price.

3 days 21 hours and 54 minutes ;)

I don't use the accelerator though, seems to me its just a glorified caching system, doesn't speed up downloads of things like movies/mp3's etc but does help with general browsing
