a few months back they were mostly around $30k. honestly ive never seen one for less than that unless its a fake. but thats going on unique cars pricing and most of the cars in that mag are a few grand too much.

just did a quick search on carpoint.com.au and they reckon they are worth $12,500... but keep in mind that is the site that reckons a genuine phase 3 is worth $36-44,000.

$36-44,000...
Which part of the Phase 3 does that get you??
:evil_laug :evil_laug :evil_laug

Surely an EB GT would have to be a $25,000 car, on rarity alone.
Didn't they only build 300 of them?? 100 each in Blue, Red and Black??

Depending on if its a 92 or 93 model. If its a 92 there worth a little more than the 93 as the 92 was the true 25th anniverasy of the 1967 xrgt. So with that in mind I would say 20+ for a 1993. & 25+ for a 1992..
As for the breakdown of numbers.
There were 10 Pilot build cars. & 255 production cars, out of the 255, 15 went to NZ.
Colours Black, Colbolt blue, Cardinel red. :

I know I'm dumb, but what do you mean 'Pilot build'??

Also, you sound like you know alot about these things, so do you know how many autos and manuals were built in each colour, or even just how many of the 265 (255 + 10 pilots) were in each colour, irrespective of g/box??
It's just that a mate has a black manual, but I've never really looked into them that much.

Thanks mate.

I nearly bought a Cobolt GT number 190 something for $17K three years ago. I asked the guy why he was selling it so cheap, and he said thats what red book said it was worth and that was all Ford were offering him to trade.

When I looked it up it was true, they are only worth around 10K-13K now. I too have seen many advertised for over $30K but weather or not people are silly enought to pay that I'm not sure about.

Either way, I gald I didn't buy it because my ute is soo much better. :jab:

ED Sprints go for 10-13 or more, the GT badge, bodykit & wheels, and interior add a lot on top of that.

The first 9 of the pilot build cars were prototype so to speak. These cars were for testing, Motor show, car displays, that sort of thing. Once the testing was over they were then given to the motoring press. The 10th car was a car that was put into use at Tickford & given to a guy called David Galven. He was the head of the special vichle oparations as his persanal car. That car could be assigned for comparitive testing against other cars such as the current HSVs, but no press work.

Blutura::
There were 265 cars in total.
