I do wonder if at the heart of America's space research is a Doomsday survival script for their Government; conferring ability to reign over a wasted and riven Earth from relatively safe distance/location.

I'm just happy they are going to the moon again and if they manage to establish a base to Mars that would be profound.
I know a lot of people like to heap **** (including me at times) on the Seppos, but **** me they know how to get **** done. And no country has done more or made a bigger impact in space exploration than the USA. |

Russia/USSR has launched many missions to explore, especially Venus and Mars. They were often first there and found out the hard way what to do right for the next mission. NASA learned a lot from Ruski mistakes, and it would be great to see ALL of the space agencies come together for the benefit of mankind. |
