Hello all in ford land, My name is Darryn I'm from Perth and I've done a bad bad thing. I have been a Holden man for the entire 25 years I've had my license (had a few other brands of course) but FORD has always been a dirty word in my home....
until I ordered a 2016 Mustang GT ....At the end of the day I just love cars so I'm not loosing too much sleep, I look forward to reading lots and learning lots.....be gentle |

Lets hope so saying that my first car was a 1979 Escort coupe, I then wanted a V8 and ford had dropped the V8 in the EA falcon so I bought a VP V8 ex-persuit....the rest is history. Realistically the Mustang looks dead sexy and for the money its hard to knock back.

Magnetic with black stripes Auto getting too old for manuals..Looking at a Magnaflow Competition catback (they sound nice and deep) and maybe a blower and Black 20" Simmons when money (wife) allows lol....looking forward to it though, delivery supposedly sept 2016 which is fine as I've only been in my SSV Redline (commodore...cough....cough...) for a few months.

Come on guys, nothing wrong with being the dark side. ;)
The mustang looks sensational in those colours. I'm jealous. |

Good choice on car and colour.
And good to see another performance car fan who isn’t trapped in the one brand mentality. You’re going to love the Mustang. |

Thanks for the warm welcomes (you ford boys are ok lol ) yeah it still looks true to the mustang style to me and I guess FORD have the engineering and running gear fairly well proven and sorted. Truth be told after having a 2014 Jeep SRT my first choice retro modern muscle car would be a hellcat challenger but they're not coming and they wouldn't be 65k. I really think the mustang is great bfyb.

Welcome mate, don't worry about having both makes, I do and love it.
Congrats on the purchase, good colour combo! In the US last month and had a nice long drive in the new Mustang V8 from LA to Lake Arrowhead, down to San Diego and back to LA. The new Mustang was awesome to drive, actually the thing I noticed mostly was the chassis ride and handling was far superior to the previous and better than my GT. Enjoy it...when you get it!

I went to the KPM Mustang NSW release at Sinclair Ford. Sat in the car, adjusted the seat, steering wheel and felt very comfortable. Also felt snug and the cabin seemed a bit more upmarket compared to my R-Spec.
Spoke the KPM guy who's driven it and he says with the lighter weight it feels more positive on the road compared to an FG. I can't wait to find out for myself! Welcome to the Forums!!

Nice choice Daz, 14 month wait wow. Looks like having to wait till the Territory lease is up in Jan 2017 won't be so bad as I probably wouldn't be able to get one any sooner anyway.
I'm looking forward to seeing these in the flesh, I'm thinking the blue but manual as I'm still youngish lol. Will be interesting to see what it looks like with Simmons. Rich

That's gonna look hot. I'm sure you'll love it
If a car is desirable, then it's desirable, it doesn't matter what badge it has on it.

The Hellcat power is awesome but not usable on a day to day basis. The Mustang hits a sweet spot and is just right. The colour you chose is unusual for a pony car but I love it.
