Default Is it time to get back in a V8?

I've owned 8 different V8 powered cars over the years. Both Holden's and fords, from stock to heavily modded.

Not too long ago there were two V8s in the driveway.

Currently I have a turbo 6 and also a few N/A 6s...

Whilst the turbo 6 is very fast, mint condition etc etc, I always get that little demon inside me saying get yourself another V8?

Who also is thinking its about time to step back into a V8? If so what are you thinking of getting?

I'm thinking either a Chrysler SRT8, or when hsv drops the 6.2 litre into the Ss, that would be a great car or maybe a FGX XR8?

What v8 are you thinking of jumping back into?

I own a GT it has a V8, owned it for a few years now.

I also have a VH SLE. Not sure if Im going to keep the matching numbers V6 or get a some sort of V8.

So not really a need to get back into another V8.

You wouldn't go wrong with any of those V8 options. I went for the XR8 because I like to looks, the sound, the badge and it's the last. But the other two definitely got my consideration.

I've contemplated getting another V8, but I'd have to check the rear main seal in case the seller is performing a dog act and not telling me about it prior to purchase.

Would love to have an old school Ford or Holden muscle car parked alongside a newish refined V8 RF GT 40.

One day!

Any V8 that will eat Aurions for lunch and won't need a rear main seal.

Any Old school V8. I'm past the quickest, fastest accelerating rapid cornering new stuff. The way the roads are becoming more and more heavily policed, I will stick to something that looks good and sounds even better - even going slow (following the speed limit)

Cheers Vincenzo

Or a 2.85 litre straight six.

And yes the time is now for a local V8, otherwise who knows what will be available once manufacturing in OZ is over.

Today a passenger bus is louder than modern stock V8s available below LCT threshold so that's why I don't bother with V8s thanks to noise regulations.

But if someone has an XB GT in their backyard then I'm interested:

Can't you make up your own mind Hulk
instead of asking your neighbours, mates, inlaws and on here
After all it's your money or your not to sure what to do next
You must get bored through the day thinking what thread to post up
I have said it before you are a lonely child

But it's entertaining reading

If you have a problem with the thread starter or the topic, don't post.

The thread will last longer that way
