Default V8 Brute Ute series

Sorry for this thread, like many enthusiasts on here, I'm just feeling so sick to the stomach, at the prospect of loosing the falcon ute platform too, on top of the falcon sedan.

Apart from being an awesome workhorse. ......... does this mean the end of my favorite race series - the V8 Brute Utes?

http://www.v8utes.com.au/

Does this mean no more Holden/Ford rivalry?

I really came to love the Brute Utes, (apart from the awesome driving antics) because the vehicles are so close to stock - like how the Bathurst 1000 race used to be.
To me, it makes the races so much more realistic, and fun to watch.

Damn I'm feeling sad.
Ford..... what have you done?

Considering even some are still road registered, I'd hate to see it finish up...

I am sure their was talk recently about moving away from the Falcon, Commodore only series & introducing Rangers, Colorado's, Tritons etc. Series organizers obviously knew the writing was on the wall in reguards to the Falcon.

Now that would be fun watching Colorado's, Tritons and Rangers falling over going too fast around corners...yep bring it on.

Yes, There are big ads in Auto Action how the Utes are undergoing a review with the hopes of moving to the SUV based Utes in the future. Still lots of details to sort out. Live whether they'll be V8 or not.....

I wonder whether circuit racing is their thing - or should they be doing motorcross style off-road races on the in-field during V8 events?

turbo diesel ute series, i'd pay to see that

FPV could always drop a coyote in a Ranger and then use that to keep racing V8's.

you do realise they make 2wd versions of all those utes? Pretty much the same thing as a falcon ute.

I saw a 2wd PX Ranger - standard height not high rider the other day - looked quite mean.

Not everyone at all, some could see long ago what was going to happen, It's just that most chose not to believe what was staring them in the face....

Many of us thought GM and Holden would go under in the financial crisis when they went bankrupt. That was staring us in the face too.

It means nothing is certain, until it actually happens.
