Wink Cruze SRiV Not bad!!

I had a look at the Cruze SRiV. its $33500 drive away.(auto) Lot of kit for the price. Doesn't have electric drivers seat(they are heated) and no climate control. Blue Tooth is $500 extra. The new Ford Focus (due Oct) had better be really good to compete.
SRiV would equate to a Focus Titanium. But that mightn.t come here!!!!

The turbo motor is available in the SRiV? It also has passive entry with push button start

Um.. SV6 is $36990, but a new XR6 will cost you $34990 with prestige paint, drive away.

If you shop around you can get an SV6 for 33 kay drive away (sedan that is). 2010 plate but no kms.

I know which one I prefer

Holden cruze is a great looking little car, there are more of them around my area than i care to count, the fact they are now made in australia i can only see as a positive, sometimes the 'enemy' gets it right and in this case they have.

The old model Focus slaughtered it in terms of driving dynamics, i'd imagine the new one would slaughter it even more.

The Cruze is nothing more than middle of the pack, i'd love to see how well it sold if it had a Daewoo badge and not a Holden one.

Focus driving dynamics are good, just that the Seth efrican build quality isnt anything special.

Hopefully they both sell well.

Well, you're in luck then. Do you want Chicken or Prawn Pad Thai with your new Focus?

For those not playing at home, the next Focus will be built in Thailand, not South Africa.

Accord Euro is made in Japan IIRC, the only one in the Honda Australia range made in their home country.

Correct.

Ford Fiesta, Mazda 2, Hilux, Triton, Tiida, Ranger/BT50, Rodeo/Izuzu whatever, Challenger, and a couple of others come from Thailand. Expect more to follow - cheap, reasonable quality labour, and a free trade agreement with Australia.

I would have bought the diesel first gen Cruze earlier this year over my TDCI Focus if the Holden dealership didn't snub me off, the top spec CDX was pretty well equipped but I'm real happy with my TDCI Focus anyway

They treated me really well at my Ford dealership, which seems to be a rarity because another also snubbed me off who I'd previously bought a new car with.

This. Or wait for the new Malibu if I was Holden shopping. Cruze can have as much "kit" as it likes, you'd still never get my backside in one.

I love how Holden are pushing the new rear suspension on the turbo 1.4 as high tech cause it has a watts link added to it lol.

Welcome to the 1970's.

The Ecoboost 1.6 Titanium has 110 kw and 240 nm of torque and has a combined fuel economy of 6.0 l/100 km.
I think that will be an impressive unit if we get it in Australia....

My Mother-in-Law's is still from Japan. 2010 Conquest Sedan. It has a JT Vin.

From what I knew, only the superseded Wagon was from South Africa, but, because of a lack of sales, it was killed off in about 2005. The Aurius/Corolla duo is still from Japan.

Hope its not put together like the Hilux. Hyundai put together their cars a lot better.

Honda CR-V , Legend , Civic Hybrid , Insight , Odyssey and Accord Euro are all made in Japan. Japan is Hondas home country.
The rest are Thailand built apart from Civic Si hatch and Type R which are UK built.
