Default Dust Storm (Bris)

Well sydney seems to be coping it more than Brisbane but I can still taste dust in my mouth and that beautiful glossy white sheen that I so carefully prepared for some new photo's to throw up has now turned into a dull red glow... *sigh* enjoy:

Bartley's lookout, not much a view here

City near winter gardens

Someone most likely having an asthma attack

Edit: I took more up at bartleys overlooking brissy but the visibility was that shocking I was taking pictures of red haze

My heart goes out to all the White, Black and Grey ford owners in Sydney...
... and an honourable mention to all the Melbourne VN owners in the wake of last night's earth tremor.. hope you guys found all your panels and bits this morning.

Hmm, perfect blue sky here although there is a slight brown haze to the south. I hope it gets no closer....

Air traffic control was reporting it as stretching from Ballina to Maroochydore, so it may not be far away Flappist.

Well that was bloody amazing. In the last half hour half of the sky has gone and it looks like the edge of it is now here.

Wonder what tomorrow will bring....

I jumped early and have booked in a professional cleaning outfit for Friday - we had a couple of windows ajar and the whole house is full of dust. I grabbed some pics of the city will post soon.

it rolled over here about 5.30pm . blocked out the sun within 15 minutes and looked like a heavy fog rolling over the mountain range.

I woke up at 7am this morn and for a split second thought my room was on fire! walked outside and it was crazy orange!
I live about 200 km inland from the gold coast and it was still thick in the afternoon... SO i took the opportunity to take some pics!

Can someone do us a favour to show how bad it actually is. Once it clears can you get a few pics from the same vantage points to show some clear/dusty comparisons.

Looking out the window at my work, seems as if it's stretched as far as Cairns? Could be smoke haze...

But I can't see the mountain range at all.

But news this morning said it was only just in Mackay?

Yep all gone, it did not really come here at all, although Maryborough which is about 20km away copped it.

Looks like there is an advantage in living in a city with no atmosphere whatsoever

They said on the news here it could reach as far as Townsville/Cairns and possibly over to NZ aswell
