Default Digital Radio

What is the go with digital radio that coming soon? Will our cars be able to pick up reception or will we have to get some sort of converter?

Cheers mate. I wonder when the car industry are going to get their butt into gear and start intergrating digital radio into their products.

I believe that it some cases it already exists. I just got a radio adapter for my iPod and it picks up radio station names. This must mean they are transmitting in digital. Saying this Sydney stations have a 1 sec silence every now and them now which is probably a digital hiccup.

No, that's old analogue technology that just hasn't been widely implemented over here. Was driving around Europe in a Peugeot 206 in 2005 and had the luxury of knowing what the song was even if I couldn't understand the language.
We then came home and bought the 307, and that's been telling us the songs since brand new.

I think it's something like RSM or some other acronym on the radio that has to be set.
