Default Difference in exhausts?

Hiya all,
I was just wanting to know how much of a difference to proformance there is in a 2 1/2" mild steel, aluminised mild steel or stainless steel exhaust system and in having it mandrel bent or just how they do it normally.

Only difference is a full SS system will last longer than your car. lol

The other 2 will rust out over time.

As for mandrel or crushed bends. Mandrel is good for anything greater than a 90* bend (over diffs etc) any minor angles it is mainly just W factor.

Cheers

Adam

Definately go the mandrel bend rather than the other method. I forget the % difference they crush and restrict the exhaust.

I say get it done properly the first time.

I dont think having it chush bent rather than mandrel bent will matter that much with my car?. Its not going to be raced or anything i just want it to be a quick daily driver.

yes, but the remainder of my post cleared that up. Nice car though mate I was just trying to help you navigate a little better through here. Exhaust technical( or similar) is further down the main page. Give it a whirl in there.
