Hi all,
Slight dilemma! What to do when a new model is released? Im looking at a Mazda MPS3, but Im sure everybody can relate!! There is a new model to be released closer to Xmas this year and new will be approx. $45k. I could however, purchase a CURRENT shape car (2006 or 2007), for close to $30k with 20-30,000kms and add a few mods & have 1 year left on the factory warranty, but will be outdated in a few months!! What to do??! |

I don't like the look of the new model 3, big smiley face with slanty eyes. Not sure if the MPS3 will be similar, probably.
My Mum wanted to update her 04 3 and we ended up buying a brand new 08 3 really cheap in the Maxx Sport.

Perhaps check out a new current model MPS and see how cheap you can get it.

i have an sp23 hatch, and after looking at the new model, i don't think there would be much difference in road prescence across the range. The curent model MPS looks good and still will in the next couple of years. Let someone else take the depreciation hit and pick one later on.

Save your cash, save the depreciation and buy the current model.

after buying 1 new car i'd never do it again. let some other sucker lose money on depreciation. buy a 1 or 2 year old low k car and save..
you don't get the new car smell, but you don't lose $15k in 12 months either. |
