Looking for a Ford Falcon AU Series 2/3 XR8 1/18th Model. I've checked most of the bigger sites but can only find BA/BF series models and AU supercars. Would anyone know of one to buy/ have a link?
Cheers.

You might be lucky to get an AUI XR8 but IIRC they never made AUII/III

Ah..crap. Only really want the Au series 2/3 front end so I can graft it onto a ute then.
Did the 2002 AU Supercars use the series 2/3 front end or is it the same series 1 front end all the way through?

I do alot of model collecting, and I've never seen a AU road car in 1:18th scale. The only ones I've seen have been in 1:43, and 1:64 scale. Even those are hard to come by.

What everyone has said is true, and IIRC:
In 1:18 scale, Classic Carlectables released 2 moulds of the AU V8 supercar. Biante also made a 1:18 of the AU Supercar (also 1:43) Paradise Garage released a 1:43 version of the T1 TS50 around the same time (maybe a bit before). Later on Biante purchased the moulds and re-released these models. You could also get a 1:43 AU2 XR8 ute in 4 colours made by Classic Carlectables. hope this helps. cheers, Julza

Ok now seeing buying a AU 2/3 front in 1/18 scale is out of the options, how different are the XR8 front bars between the series 1 to series 2/3? Will the headlights be the same dimensions?
I'm thinking of cutting and shunting a AU1 Xr8 bar onto a BA ute then shaping it into a AU2/3 style bar followed by giving it a lick of paint. After that hopefully it should look like a AU ute seeing as the BA ute's exterior only differs in the front sheetmetal. Why I am asking this is I am trying to build a scale model of my brother's Blue AU2 XR8 ute. Cheers for all the info fellas.

Apart from the obvious differences, AUII has eyebrows over both headlights, not just the low beam in AUIs
