I reckon you should notify ebay asap
They have ways of dealing with them.

Once the alloted time is over with (for the buyer to contact you) relist with a note saying "relisted due to bidder non-payment" AND add a note saying that all bidders with 0 or negative feedback will not be accepted without your authorization... Get any of those types of bidders to contact you first...

I would contact the guy who called you through carsales and see how you go there because I would 99.9% doubt this bidder will pay. Good luck in any case. |

i have had this happen a few times, they often bid and then forget about it. Just report the bidder as a non payer and the re-listing fee is free. I had one guy email me 2 months later to organise payment, no he thought i would have waited that long. It was good because the second time i listed it i sold the item for $200 more so it worked in my favour. :

Give the mongrel negative feedback! The ultimate Ebay discrace. it'll stick with them forever. When they go for a home loan itll be " Well we notice you have some negative feedback on ebay, we only deal with the one hundred percent buyers"

Went through the same thing not long ago. I wanted to sell a XF with a bit of rego left, the bugger stalled with payment I gave and extra week to pay and when I did say enough is enough he open a dispute on me for not delivering, the idiot hadn't even paid for it.
The car ran out of rego and sold it later as a paddock basher for $150. Open a non paying bidder dispute, get your ebay fees back. Careful with leaving neg feedback as they can and will ruin your record aswell in retailiation

When you leave negative feedback, leave it at the last possible moment. I think its 3 months.. Then they don't have time to leave you negative in retaliation |

Normally that works, but since he/she has 0 feedback, they'd just create a new account.

I've always left neg feedback where appropriate. (3 times) and never recieved it back yet, as a buyer though not seller. people wont take much notice of feedback left by a 0 rating who's 1st transaction went bad cause he didn't pay.

You have his name and address, why not ring and speak to him personally, you never know, he may well have a legitimate reason, such as hospitalisation etc, (unlikely) for the delay in contacting you. If you haven't got his phone number, check white pages.com.au with his name and address and you'll probably pick it up there. If you're satisfied with the price he offered, then tell him he's got three business days to have the dollars in your bank account, or a money order in your hands. You never know, the personal touch might stir him into action and you'll get paid. |

Since the 29th march and 1st April, your buyer has won 8 auctions totalling over $2600 which includes 3 motor vehicles and 5 prams. hmmm ??
I thought his address was in Ipswich. Why not take a drive past in daylight hrs. You might strike someone home. |

All jokes aside, you would be best to let eBay try to sort it out for you and hopefully get the guy to cough up for the purchase. There are far too many of these tossers on eBay and unfortunately there always will be !!!! : |

Interesting article on Today Tonight the other day... The number of problems and rip offs with eBay is growing at an enormous rate and they discussed the immanent failure of the whole thing if they don't address customers concerns.
I think they showed eBays growth patterns from 2006 at 74% to 2007 at 4%, a dramatic decrease and the number of complaints is skyrocketing. I recently sold my dads boat on eBay - I'm not sure I'd use them again after seeing this - perhaps trading post may be better ? Of course that's no help to you, just commenting.

You shouldn't sell to buyer's with no history, even ebay state this officially on their site for selling expensive items.
