Unhappy free dog to good home

well unfortunately my american staffy (pitty) has to go, :

he is about 3 1/2 yrs old red nose jeep / sorrell bloodlines

excellent guard dog

he has not been around kids so don't recommened trying to introduce kids to him

reason being is he is trying to be the dominant one against our male staffy who is 5 yrs old, had no hassles until about 2 weeks ago

would be good for a car yard, factory or wreckers, somewhere he can run around

asap
pick up only
call den

Sorry to hear about that bud, i reckon it would be rather difficult handing a dog you've fed and seen grown, walk off with someone else.

Hope you find a trusty person!

Cheers

Gee i hope the bloke next door buys it. Then when it gets out of his yard or if my kids kick a ball over the fence, that will be exciting!

nice dog mate, ive got a pure blue amstaff, awesome breed.

that definitely looks like a red nose pitty (hard to tell with such a small pic)

amstaffs and pittys are 2 different breeds now, even though they are very similar in breeding and looks.

Or you could get them both de-sexed if not already, them losing their balls with make them a bit more dosile. If you havent tried getting them knackered, thats what i suggest you do. Fairly cheap now, and you get cheap dog permits.

Cheers

we were lucky enough to receive a dog for the same reason as she was attackin the other dog, we knew these people very well and the guy still comes ova every now n again to see the dog. Shes a Pure breed English Staffy. best dog ever, settles down for kids, they goes nuts wen me or sumone else razzes her up . i hope your dog goes to someone like my family, our dog lost alot of weight due to up playing with her, she used to be a barrrel but now you can see her muscles and where her ribs are without being to skinny and seeing every single rib.

discus177

Alright matey, as long as the woofa lives a happy life with his balls thats all that matters, i certainly wouldn't want someone knocking off my nuts because of someone else lol. Hopefully you'll find a good home for him.

Cheers

Been around pitt bulls for many years and you can't have two mature males together. One will always try to be the alpha male, especially if there is a female anywhere near them. This is not unique to this breed either.
Don't put him down some one will snap him up in time.
BTW it's a shame some people will call them "children eaters" or the like as this is unjustified. My pitty is like a guardian to my two little girls, follows them every where they go and is always calm around them where as he's usually very hyper active. He even sleeps under the kids bedroom window when they go to bed.

yes that is a false rumor about pittys they are the most loyal dog around, my wife's uncle has had them for years and has never had any trouble with them at all even when his son who was about 2yrs old stuck his finger into his backside he never got aggressive
this is why we are amazed that all of a sudden he has turned on our staffy,
there is no female dog around , just cant understand why, they always play fight which has never got serious, they sleep, eat everything together.

l dont wont to put him down , im trying to find ways of avoiding this , hence this thread and numerous phone calls to freinds and relos.

me two, had pittys the last ten years, am pittyless for the first time.at the moment.i would have him in a second but qld laws suck, not that that would stop me. i have a number for a chick that breeds them, looks after her dogs real well. if you get stuck pm, me and i,ll give her a ring. but he,ll find a good home on someones couch. just realized, looks like your in vic. give the australian pitbull society a call if you get stuck. they will find him a home, they are very passionet about there dogs. a search will find them. there also in vic me thinks
