The prices are as follows:
XC Coupe (Yellow) $40,000 XY Ute (Looks like Olive but probably called a different name) $18,500 XW (I think) 351 GT Replica (wildfire I think it is called, red anyway) $48,000 If anyone wants anymore details, I can get them for you or can pass you the phone number of the car yard

$40,000 ............... sheesh.
I havent seen the car so cant comment - but that does seem a hefty price on it. But hey - it might well be worth that. |

It has a story behind it also, apparently belonged to the guy that used to own Bryan Byrtt (spelling could be wrong) Ford many moons ago and had this car as a donor car for his coupe but his daughter got him to restore it in 1997 (so paint is apparently 10 years old). That is about as much of the whole story thing that I remember Basically a good looking machine but unsure about the price personally, but then I guess people who want it desperately are willing to pay those sorts of prices, maybe it is truly worth that... seriously no idea

Used to be able to get a good second hand one for approx $8000.00 back in 1980 lol Who would bother with one these days, may as well buy a New XR6 Turbo. |

Wow! For that price i would expect the paint/interior to be pretty flash-spending $20000 tidying up paint and interior and engine bay is pretty realistic bringing the coupe up to a $60,000 car......It'd want to be a Landau for that money!! :

What about a Landau thats in parts(no motor, gearbox or diff) and primer almost complete for $1k? Does this sound reasonable?

This one, right?
http://www.autotrader.com.au/iteminf...ubs_Used+Cars_ I've passed by it a couple of times on the way to somewhere else and often wondered how much the dealer was asking... but $40k is silly money. It's "only" a 302 as well! I guess it's just another guy trying to cash in on the muscle car boom at the moment. Only a fool would buy that car for $40k, but as they say, a fool and his money are easily parted..!

Then on the other hand the best part of a million dollars for and even older falcon and so many rave on how it is such a good investment.
Any of these things are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them and the reasioning for buying whatever is almost always emotion rather than logic. |

Yeah, i saw it advertised a while back and emailed them. Price then was 45k. No takes i guess. It's clean but not that clean. The XC cobra on ebay for $8700 is much better value, lol.

A good clean honest genuine V8 XC coupe is worth around 20 to 30k IMHO.
If this is the same car as on the muscle car website, then the asking price was 30k, which would have been on the high side of being right. The asking price may not have been paid, and since its back for sale so fast, I would say either it was snapped up for a fast buck by the dealer, in which case I hope they own it for ages and it costs em heaps to flog it, or someone bought it, and found it had big dollar issues and flogged it, or is flogging it through this dealer. For 40k, the thing would wanna be immaculate with no issues at all, and a matching numbers 351 gs fairmont coupe. |

you also have to take into account the markup for caryards... he may have paid 20 for it, so hell sell it for 40... lol may go down to 35...
how often do you see cars like that at caryards anyway?
