Default Victorian Hoon Laws

Read the Herald Sun on the weekend, they had a article on the Victorian Hoon Laws. It was said that since the laws came into affect, 2000 cars had been confiscated.
What blew me away was the proportion of brands
Just under 1000 GMH products (about 750 commodores)
about 300 Ford Products (about 250 Falcons)
about 150 Nissan Products

These figures are going by memory and are not entiely accurate, but close.
What surprised me was the % of Holdens confiscated, almost 50%. I really thought it would be more the Japanese cars, just goes to show

Doesn't surprise me that there's so many commos on the list.

Over here in SA, everytime I hear a burnout without seeing it, I just go "Commodore". The times I can turn around to see the car doing it, 9 out of 10 I'm right.

Thats positive news for Fords rep, and proves that its mostly holden drivers causing the trouble.

I've noticed in recient times i havent been pulled over as much as i did in the past, which is good :-)

lol, my mates who drive Commodores are always tellin me about how fast their cars can go. And they are always pulling away flat stick, everywhere, spinnin the inside wheel every chance they get. Its almost like they are trying to prove how good their car is, lol.

For a good laugh go to www.urbandictionary.com and look up Commodore.

"I have no originality. I also drive a Commodore."

"I have a small *****, i try to compinsate with my 6 litre V8 Commodore"

"I think I drive a sports car because I drive a 2 door Commodore"

"I spent as much money as my new luxury version Commondore as a new Luxury Mercedee's, because bogans will think I'm cool if i drive a Commodore."

"Commondore is to Bogan as water is to ocean."

This data shows that the road toll has started to rise since May 2004....

And it hasn't been updated for about a year..

that site is funny

Holdens "performance" line, "HSV", fail to realise that slapping a bodykit on a family commuter does not make it a sportscar.

Although it handles like a bag of mollasses, this barge is worshipped by bogans for is ability to allow even physically and/or mentally disabled drivers to do burnouts. Usually performance mods consist of 17 inch chromies, altezza taillights and 2 subwoofers. The younger owners usually purchase the cars due to a lack of intelligence, funds or pride. Thus, the car earned the nickname "conformadore".

now try this one
http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...term=Falcon+GT

Hmm lets see, Falcon GT = 5.4L V8 Quad Cam, 32 valve and plenty of headroom for bor(e)ing vs a Holden 5.7L V8 PUSHROD engine....Commodres gonna become End Of Line soon you Holden whores! How are they good??

Fanboy - "Oh, my VZ Holden HSV shits on any GT-P man."

Real World - "Ok, let's take it on the Hume Highway ****** in my BF Falcon GT-P."

Fanboy - "Ermm, no, I still have to fix up that oil leak I got in the motor because Holdens are **** and I hit my knee on the door and it's technically a write off because the airbag went off and blew up the seat because they go off randomly and the materials of the car are made to last a month"

Real world - "HA HA HA" =D

Thats a classic

Just watched the "Crime and Justice" show on Channel 9. Nerdy VL Commodore Melbournite with very short GF is ****ed and hits pole. Runs away and leaves GF in wreck. Police pick him up and he blows 0.111 over an hour later (and he's a P plater) The cop asks him WHY he ran away, he says "I couldn't do anything else....that wasn't me it was my LEGS that ran" then he goes onto say that he was "scared of the police". Someone on here probably knows this loser. All of Australia knows him now, LOL

I know of a guy, EA hit a pole at ~160km\h killed his missus in the passenger seat, it hit so hard the steering wheel speared the drivers window and the passenger seat was touching the drivers...
He got out, walked up the road, called a mate and went home... after a shower he called the police to say he crashed his car and the missus was in a bad way...
He got a suspended sentence, and still drives to this day.

There was always going to be more commodores impounded, its not cause they are worse drivers or more of a hoon, its simple more cars sold, readily available after 5-10 years old (unlike fords at which that time they are all in the scrap metal yard) and much easier to modify and produce good horsepower results, I love my Holdens, but dont need to take a wide brush and paint everyone at the blue oval with the same brush, sure its a little funny at first, but sheesh about the 4000 time its gets a little boring and repetitive, how about coming up with some new material...
