Is 'Security Task Manager' any good?

I wondered if anyone used this and if its any good or if there is something better, my pc has some issues and i need to poke around it a bit.

Sounds dodgy to me. Being in IT, I don't trust any program that is developed by someone other than a major IT company like Microsoft, Symantec or McAffee

To get rid of spyware, try Ad-aware, or Spybot S&D (Search and Destroy)
To get rid of viruses, try Norton Antivirus, AVG or McAfee
For firewalls, use Norton Internet Security, or Windows Firewall. If you have ADSL, your modem most likely has a built in firewall, negating the need for one on your computer.

If you describe the issues your PC is having I am sure myself or some other savvy PC users can help you out more

Thanks for your reply.
I am using most of the tools you mentioned, I just happened upon some suss startup progs in msconfig and then I somehow got distracted by some suss looking processes and I was just wondering if theres any good tools around for managing these things, I think I've fixed my pc now but in the knowledge that i have to look at my girlfriends folks pc (some people shouldnt be allowed near a computer lol), next week I thought it might be a handy tool. I hope that makes sense.... But if you have any suggestions feel free.

Oh by the way in case you hadn't guessed already I like to think I know just enough to be dangerous or rather just enough to know how much I don't know about PC's! I'm an electronic engineer but I hate the bloody things at least when I design something I actually know what should or shouldn't be happening the varibles in these things are scary and thanks to the internet now I have other people stuffing around with my pc other than me lol.

but I have tried many and the ones I recommed to people

are
anti virus. Nod32
Firewall. zonealarm suite
Spyware: Stopzilla and spysweeper together one blocks everything, and the other removes it
