in places like india, most soft drinks come in a glass bottle, and each bottle is re used many times. if you buy a glass bottle coke or pepsi from a shop u ussually have to stand there and drink it before giving the bottle back.

With Bundaberg Rum, if you look closely on some of the 2lt bottles, it states that the bottle remains the product of Bundaberg Rum...

Most Cola Products have Phosphoric Acid in them; it’s what gives them their distinctive taste. Anyone see “Mythbusters” on Discovery Channel on Tuesday Evening? They had a segment on the many uses of Cola.
Cleaning blood – Good Cleaning chrome – Good Cleaning copper coins – Good Dissolving teeth – Nope, but it turned them brown! Dissolving Steak – Nope, but may make a nice marinade Striping paint or oil/grease – Nope, but left a nice mess! Removing rust – Nope, but they really didn’t soak anything long term. Having lived in Asia and been warned about “fake” drinks many times, I would guess that those images are from counterfeit cola factory. We made a habit of never drinking bottles unless we knew the supplier, cans are much harder to refill! |

I've been through the Pepsi plant here in Sydney several times. When you walk through the store room where they keep the syrup concentrate it smells awful. Coke is the same, but I much prefer going there, as they let you go into the lunchroom and they have all their products on tap. We were stranded at Pepsi for 5 hours when their automated systems for unloading the truckloads of empty bottles broke down, with only half our truck unloaded. It was about 2am, and it was only after about 4hrs that anyone bothered to offer us a drink or use of their facilities.

Why do u think everyone drinks corona with lemon/lime these days!
It was actually for a purpose cause in mexico they never cleaned the bottles, so people would get half a lemon and rub it all over the bottle to sterilise it before u drank it ;)
