EcoLpi gas tank inspection Newcastle area

Hi, I’m looking at buying a Fg Mk2 with EcoLpi engine. The tanks will be up for inspection shortly. I spoke to a gas fitter in Lambton Newcastle. He can inspect the older tanks but not the EcoLpi tanks. Stated he did not know of anyone in the Newcastle area that does them. Can someone suggest a fitter or inspection station that can restamp the newer EcoLpi tanks in the Newcastle or Central Coast areas please…… if not Sydney then.

Ok thanks, so your up Forster way. That’s not a crazy distance away. Roughly what did he charge you for that if you don’t mind me asking??

This is what I recorded from the invoice:

Labour: remove LPG liquid injection tank from under rear of vehicle for testing and re-stamp, refit and test and check, $220.
Gas tank testing: test and stamp APA liquid tank, serial number ######, , tested to AN2509/C, remove pump and all tank fittings, replaced seals, bolts and 3/4" relief valve, rub back and repainted with silver gal, $880.

So $1,100 all up plus any wasted gas that was in the tank when it was tested.

Note: from memory was 3-4 days turnaround.. but could make for a good excuse to hang around the beach for a week.
