Default Stay Safe Over Easter

Not that you need any advice from me, but please try and stay safe on the roads this Easter. Don't forget YOU may be a good driver, but others may not be! 9-5's suddenly travelling 850ks to visit the relatives as well as drunken idiots, heaps more cars on the roads all = potential disaster. See you all back safe and sound after the break.

just finished my 15h trip from brisbane ... had some very interesting encounters on that trip, i can tell ya that ... gas truck with two tyres exploding in front of my car and locked brakes, miss daisy driving 70 in 110 zone and banking up traffic for 10kms, caravans and trailers galore (again traveling well below posted limits) and the random interesting overtaking manouvers, let alone the excessive speeds i have seen ...

all in all a great trip, at least the weather was fantastic

Yes also some hard earned cash could be re-appropriated to the treasury coffers by way of speed traps if one is not careful!

From my experience over the years where I usually go away somewhere, Easter is the worst holiday period for idiots on the road.

You get all these city folk with the clan in the 4WD in a rush to get to the destination, and are that used to cutting in and out of traffic in the city streets that they also do it on the highway. Some of them are bloody mad!

No not always, but there are plenty of families down here, maybe not so much 4WD's (not the real ones anyway) but people movers and are psycho's on the road

As for 4WD's I've grown up with them till I moved out and got my XR8!

People movers, yeah what death traps!!! generally owned by people that see driving as a chore, something that has to be done, not a hard earned skill.
