Anyone notice the new Toyota POS-4WD-ute-thingo ad .. where the guy takes it out partying, gets flames painted on it .. and takes it drag racing against a XA-XC coupe!! Seriously, as if some 4.0L V6 in a Jap ute will outrun a Clevo-powered Falcon coupe. I think they are doing a good job of targetting their ricer audience who live in their own reality based upon drugs and rave parties ..

toyota's running some doosie ads, did you see the one where they keep showing the shots of their F1 car going round a track and then cap the ad off with the slogan "no wonder we arn't invited to Bathurst"
I hate toyota...... the reason we dont include them in the V8's is because they dont have a V8 sedan to race, nor do they have anything decent to race with... they make whitegoods for the road. Mind you i would like to see a class of racing for small hatche's either a single make fiesta class or something that includes fiesta, yaris mazda and getz, only so we could see the Ford thrash them. |

It probably would outrun an old standard clevo, 302 or 351.

I would love to see an F1 car on Bathurst if only to see it fall to bits up the top of the mountain.

Dont judge a 4.0 V6 until you've driven one, that's all I have to say.

Don't know why you guys are downgrading toyota. You can say how crap they are, but the fact remains, they produce the most reliable cars out there, and is the most profitable car company worldwide, 'nuff said.
