I say it every year ''&^%!, next year I'm gonna do my Christmas shopping in November''

12 months later I'm standing in a queue behind someone thinking ''hurry up you old &^%^''

You know it's bad when the highlight of you shopping experience is if you were lucky enough to score a parking spot straight away.

Here is something interesting. If a private car park is not patrolled by the Council ranger (buildings have to pay for that and get no takings from the fines) Rangers can still fine people parking in disabled spots with no permit in private car parks. Now my last parking fine was 108 and I think they have gone up and I know loading zone fines have gone up and my last was 173 so I'm guessing disabled spot fines are worse.

even disabled people can be inconsiderate. The parking bay out front of work is right next to the disabled ramp. if they park too close to the LHS, disabled people can't use the ramp.

I have a permit as well but if I'm having a good day I won't use it if there's another park not too far away. I'll leave the space for someone in a worse position than me. Unfortunately you see far too many "Iwon'tbelongs' and 'Icouldn'tgivearats' abusing the system

I think disabled parking was long over due and I have no problem 'waiting' for them to park. I never park at Norwest Coles at Xmas time because most of the car park is taken up by Hillsong people not even going to the shops.

We've got a small paid parking station by the door of our large shopping centre with its own separate entry. I normally avoid paying for parking but at two bucks for four hours I'll be buggered if I'm battling the hoards of griswolds for the free spots.

This probably isn't that's ever an issue to most, but I roughly know the height of my ute depending on what's on the roof and what's in the back etc. Car park height bars are not always accurate. My old van had roof racks and a 100mm pipe on top of that so with the clamps it was just below 2.1m but would fit in my mums car park that claims 1.95m but there's atleast 2 inches to the height bar. My ute is 1.8 (it's under that but I don't like underestimating) with roof racks. A few weeks back I had ladders on the roof so it was just under 2m and I hit the 2.05 height bar (it's a bar of lies) at Rhodes shopping centre. So like a normal person I stopped and the normal people behind me went around exept the car behind me. Old mate just would not move. Hazards and reverse lights must not stand out enough. When old mate finally moved, turns out he is captain obvious because he tells me I may be too tall.
What I don't understand about hitting that height bar is I do jobs in that shopping centre and have never had an issue with ladders on the roof.

Off topic...Rhodes (Ikea entrance) is unique as it has a great high roof under cover area for trucks which you can drive in, around and out.

My ol' mans place in Sussex St reads 2.05 at the bar which I know I can squeeze under (truck is 2.1, crane lowered, flashing lights removed) to get better clearance further down and into his garage which is nice and tight. My brother is a useless driver and reckons he has trouble parking his Accord in there. ?? Not much better at shopping centre's either.

I know the Rhodes car parks well but when you come unstuck doing something you've done 100 times before and do the right thing to get out of it when it's always the 1%ers who can't quite work out what's happening. I typically reverse in due to visability or lack there of and try to keep it straight and middle of the spot. If everyone did the same then all drivers and passengers would have the same amount of room to get in and out. It's when people park up hard on the passengers line beside you just to get extra space to get their fat body out of the car is what annoys me. Or when someone pulls a crap park beside me and folds my mirror in. If you park that poorly, move your damn car not my mirror.

40min - 1 hour sit down diner, movie trailers, 2 hour movie, walk to and from your car (say 10mins).... 3 hours is not enough.

Most cinemas validate your ticket and add an extra hour .... from what I have come across with most shopping centre setups in Sydney metro.
