Default Lancer Evo 9

Not sure if anyone has posted this but there will be a new evo before the end of the year, not that its hot news on a ford forum. Anyway have a look:

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/?video_...y.php?id=52802

There is a vid on there but not many pics, sounds like it should be ok. I was at the brisbane motor show today and they said they wont be limiting how many they import it will just be as much as they can sell. This might affect the resale of them a bit. Im sure we will see plenty on the roads at the end of the year give the fords something new to race. :

Looks pretty similiar to Evo 8, wonder what changes there will be for the Yank market? Perhaps an addition of an auto box and 300kg?

They are a sensational drivers car, if only Mitsu could figure out how to put a quality interior in them, they would be a much more appealing "real world" buy.

Pity we won't get the Evo VIII FQ-340 that they get in the UK...345bhp, 0-60 mph 4.4 sec. What a weapon!

yes the fq-400 complete with factory warranty is a sweet unit. Complete with Euro compliant emission controls. But what they do is the Odd numbers are the 'softer' units which are upgrades from the previous even numbered 'hard edge' evos.
Evo V = Ballastic
Evo VI = Soft version of the V
Evo VII = ballastic
Evo VIII = More refined of the VII

Thankfully they are totally different to the 04 Lancer we've been driving as a hire car... Lets just say I'm far from impressed...
