Default Unable to sign up at https://www.ford.com.au/owner/registration - doesn't recognise VIN

I've just been trying to sign up on the "Ford Owner's Support Page" and I keep getting kicked off because it won't accept my new vehicle's VIN as a valid number.

Has anyone else had this problem? It's using the VIN from a 2016 Kuga - straight off the owner's manual and rego papers. I'll have to double check the vehicle plates tomorrow, but surely the dealer hasn't stuffed up important info like that?

Edit: I've tried entering the VIN on a VIN decoder website and it comes up as a valid number for an Australian Kuga with all the correct options listed.

I double checked, they have put the incorrect VIN in the owner's manual - a O instead of a 0.

The registration papers match the vehicle and that correct VIN registers fine on the website.

Good pickup!

The old "O" instead of "0", eh? Annoys me no end when people quote their phone number and call it "oh four two seven" instead of "zero four two seven" as it should be. Phone numbers don't have letters in them people, otherwise it wouldn't be called a phone NUMBER

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm pedantic

Congratulations!! No you are not pedantic. You have just figured out MOST PPL are stupid...totally agree with you re letters and numbers. They say oh, you say you mean 0 (zero) then they look at you with a blank stare. You may as well be talking gibberish to them because they have no idea.
