Default Used Lexus IS350 F Sport advice

Tempted about buying one of these for the missus.
I'm lookng at a 2011/2012 as there are quite a few coming of lease.
They are around the 30k mark and appear to be pretty good value at that price for what you get.

Well made, plenty of quality gear in them and the V6 is pretty decent (0-100 in mid 5s). Plenty of good reviews when they came out.
(Yes she is a closet lead foot!)

Anyone have any experiences with these that they can share?
Good or bad

Friend of mine had one and loved it.
Did 70,000 odd kms before trade in with no problems reported.

Great car. I had the Sports Luxury 2014 model for a week and I didn't want to give it back. I beleive the F Sport is a much better car to drive.

We are on our third Lexus, they do make such a great car. I'm even thinking the ISF or even IS 350 F Sport could be contenders for my mext car but I keep coming back to the F6 or GTE.

Whatever you do, try to get one with a full Lexus service history. It will help with resale.

The only negative thing I read was regarding the esc and traction control intervene very early but unless your wife is into trackdays it shouldn't be a problem.
I had an IS250 as a rental on Kangaroo Island and thought it was a very nice all round vehicle (a bit under powered) which is why I have always liked the IS350 F Sport.
Build quality was top notch.

Yes, the 250 is definetly underpowered but handles nice. The 350 has the bit of extra power.

Go the 350 F Sport. We've had 3. Never had an issue with any of them. Current model is amazing. You wont be dissapointed.

Going from your avatar I see you have a G6ET.

How do you compare?

Dont have the G6ET any more. Two completely different cars. Put the Lexus into sports mode and its amazingly well balanced. Suspension firms up as well as the steering. Sport seats and interior very nice . Interior of the car is nicely done. G6ET dull and boring in comparison. You cant really compare the two to be honest. Turbo motor the winner in the ford but everything else in the Lexus beats it hands down.

How does it stack up against the 3 series? Used 3-series are so darned cheap, they are almost going for Falcon dollars. Even m3 engine swaps or turbo 335i look feasible for not much money if they bolt in (currently trying to research this).
