I know I enjoy the sound of cars as much as anyone and normally couldn’t care less how loud they are but I’m not sure how I’d cope if I lived hear Harrods and had to put up with this.
Check out the video in the link and you can hear the cars doing circuit work. Quote:

Driving in a convoy, leaving the engine running while stationary and sounding the horn will also become illegal under the draconian regime.

Apparently most of the noise is caused by local Brit's, hence the McLaren in the picture with a British number plate. Often it's the decatted C63's or the local Aventadors that cause most of the raucous. Car spotters claim for the most part the foreign rich middle-easteners only cruise and rarely rev unless egged on. It's a shame some of the bad eggs may spoil it for everyone as it would get annoying. There aren't many places you will see some of the rarest cars actually driving the streets and attracting tourism.

I was a 'boy racer' back in the UK in the '90's, but my whip was a Vauxhall Nova 1.4SR (google it Aussies, it wasn't a rebadged Toyota) with 12" Rockford sub and amp with more power than the 75bhp engine.
Not quite in the same league as this posh London lot though...

I like this quote "there are always Kuwaitis driving in their Lamborghinis"
haha. They probably also have apartments right there on that block and are just taking their cars out of the carpark. Oh well, I guess they can still drive them slowly and park them with their mates. |
