Default General THANK YOU to all in this site.

I own a 2007 BF wagon and it has been one of the best general purpose set of wheels I have owned - however, now it is coming up for small maintenance (bulbs etc) and I would like to stuff the non-engineering Ford idiot responsible for planning user friendly maintenance up an exhaust pipe.
Thank you for the excellent knowledge and clear instructions in this site - I would never have thought that I would need to remove a wheel well cover to replace a turn bulb. Thanks again.

Fords are pretty bloody reliable as long you don't mess with them haha. Oh and try changing the globe in your ignition barrel without the right spanner and front indicators is also front bar off from memory, what the hell? Back bolts on rocker cover too, the list is endless lol.

I think that's why alot of the houso bogans go for the commodore. They don't need to think when making repairs. Duct tape and some blutack

There is not a car made that does not have problems servicing some parts, even old cars. Once I had a Morris Minor that required you to remove the front torsion bar to get the brake master Cyl. out, a Hillman that required you to unbolt the engine mounts and jack up the engine to remove the stater motor. minis had a small rubber bypass hose that was almost impossible to fit without removing the head, try changing the power steering box in an XF Falcon or ZL Fairlane.

Fiestas are also difficult to work on. To change headlight bulb>remove grill. To change air filter undo 16 screws !!!

Mine had more the just cable ties but to be fair my corollas roof lining is held on with staples, but I bought it that way.

i think in general the falcon is still very good, most servicing stuff is very easy, even an old decrepit ex truck driver can service the henry without too much trouble.

lol yeah I agree but a whole dash out to replace a plastic actuator for you air conditioner seems to me a "little short sighted" Haha....but the engine still goes like a train 230 000km latter on my old BA . Like every ford I've ever owned...bits fall off her , sometimes she could use a good massage, but she will NEVER DIE.
