New coolant leak :(

So 2 days I installed a new waterpump which was leaking directly underneath which has now stopped. Now a new leak has formed, the coolant is currently over filled but it's leaking from around the sump area. The overflow hose comes out of the reservoir on the drivers side if I'm not mistaken, so I'm clueless to where it's leaking from.

Any help would be appreciated, you guys on Ford forums always give great advice

i would say before you start taking things apart go over as much of your work as you can to make sure every thing is tightened correctly, hose clamps, bolts, etc, check the o ring on the back of the water pump were the metal tube goes into it the pump, use a digital camera/smart phone to take some pics were you cant see properly and wack them on the pc to get a better look around, or use a small mirror and torch to check suspect areas and see how you go.

Take it to a mechanic so they can pressure test the cooling system and find where the leak is..... I'll bet its to do with your water pump replacement...Maybe faulty gasket?

Radiator hose to water pump connection?

Its not uncommon for a hose to leak once its had its seal broken, especially if its been on a while and the rubber is crushed where the clamp goes.

Getting it up to temperature so the hose softens then retightening helps too. Have had to do this many times after taking off or replacing hoses etc.

Thanks guys I'll try when I get home, this leak is in a different spot to where the waterpump was leaking last time so I'll go over all the hoses, just hope it's not the waterpump because replacing it last time was so messy and and fiddley

So had a better look and it's coming from the back of the engine, thinking it's a heater hose maybe, I'll take to a mechanic when I get the chance

possibly, I don't know where exactly the Welsh plug is exactly, I've test drive it earlier, came back with no leaks...went back and checked again and again no leaks but last night I had a puddle, I'm so confused and this morning it was leaking down from the stabilizer bar and down underneath the ac compressor. No loss of coolant in the reservoir. I'm thinking maybe it's left over coolant from waterpump replacement, because I just dropped the coolant when the waterpump was removed so it went all over the frame

Condensation from air conditioning? Is the fluid on the ground anti-freeze, e.g red or green. If not its most likely condensation.

Get mechanic to pressure test, it will only take 20 mins of his time to let it sit and see if pressure leaks down, that way your mid will be at rest.

The thing is its been weird its not leaking anymore, I'll keep an eye on it
