Are any of the Car Body Removers on northside of Brisbane worth ringing?

Just wondering whether anyone has found any of the Car Body Removers doing the rounds on the northside of Brisbane to be particularly worth ringing, based on what they're willing to pay for a Falcon-sized car?

Also wondering what the particular going rate is for something like a stripped E-series wagon without any rust...

They usually pay money IF they are complete,stripped I doubt they will either pay anything or even collect

Local scrappie to me was collecting and paying $70 complete ,that's with everything and on wheels,regardless of dead engines,stuffed interior, had to be complete
Now they will collect and pay nothing, and incomplete they don't bother
Scrappy on brissie northside month or so ago was paying $80 a tonne, you deliver ,no collection

Id say as in stripped condition, youll be lucky if they collect at all

Rust,wether some or not,wether its straight and mint condition,its in complete and will be crushed,its only scrap value, there not restorers, they don't care for condition

Youll just have to ring a few local ones to you and go with the best deal on the day

I swapped a busted daihatsu mira for a set of falcon steelies with good tyres, plus they picked it up. (Wrecker)

Another mob collected and paid my friend $200 for a 70s hilux that had an engine bay fire.

Just to wrap this Thread up, after stripping all of the bits that I thought might come in handy off the wagon in question, I rang around this morning to the various outfits that were advertising Car Body Removal in my local rag.

It turns out that of the five that I rang, none of them were prepared to pay anything for the vehicle in the state that it had been reduced to, but all of them were nonetheless still prepared to remove it for free

And I took a fair bit off as it so happens...

Externally, I removed all four Doors, plus the Bonnet, Tailgate, and the front Bumper, plus both Headlights and one Taillight.
From the Engine Bay, I removed the Power Steering Pump, the Alternator, the A/C Compressor, all of the A/C Lines, Hoses, Condensor, and Drier, the Radiator and all of the Hoses, the Radiator Overflow Bottle, the Windscreen Washer Bottle, the Inlet Manifold and Throttle Body (CFI), and the Starter Motor. I tried to pull the Distributor out, but the Cap was buggered by heat, and the Base was effectively welded to the Engine Block by old dried-up oil.
From the Interior, I removed the whole Dashboard, Console, all of the Trims, Seat Belts, pretty much everything except the Carpet, Seats and the Steering Wheel & Column (Remember that all four Doors were removed, which also accounted for the Door Trims, Handles, Locks, Actuators, and Wing Mirrors...). I also purloined the ECU and the Auto Transmission Controller.

A couple of the Removalists were located over towards Rocklea on the other side of town, one of them was at Murarrie, one at Pinkenba, and one at Sandgate. Since the Sandgate-outfit was closest, I asked them to do the job, and it turned out that they were a real dinky-di, down-to-earth, husband-and-wife-type setup. His name was John, the outfit was called "A1 Scrap Metal Recyclers", and their phone number is 3869 1788. Well worth ringing...
