Default Man killed in accident at Holden dealership in South Perth

Was driving home yesterday from work, and every day I pass Melville Holden. But last night I saw a bunch of cop cars and news vans there. Googled it today:

Quote:
A man has died after apparently being crushed by a car at a Perth car dealership.

It is believed the man was crushed when a mechanical support beam collapsed, dropping the car on him.

The incident happened around 3:00 pm today at a dealership at Attadale on the Canning Highway.

Paramedics tried to revive the man but he died at the scene.

It is not clear if he was an employee at the company, but WorkSafe will investigate.

Staff have been called into the main showroom to be addressed by management.

A man has died after being hit by a vehicle at a car dealership in the Perth suburb of Attadale.

The man, aged in his 50s, was struck by a car being driven by a fellow employee who was reversing out of a service bay at the car yard.

Emergency crews tried to free the man, who became trapped under the vehicle, but he died at the scene.

The incident happened around 3:00 pm yesterday at the dealership located on the Canning Highway.

Police and WorkSafe inspectors are investigating the incident.
I heard on the radio that it was one of their mechanics. Apparently place will come under heavy scrutiny from WorkSafe (understandably).

Anyone think this would affect the sales of the VF there? They've had the same 3 VF's parked out the front since they were released, now this.

Wow -- feel for his family, no one should go to work and not have the right to come home at night. Very sad indeed.

Why would a totally unrelated incident involving the unfortunate death of a person have anything to do with the sale of three new Commodores?
You've got me stumped!
