Talk about a tough gig, this poor example entered a beauty contest up against the VT Commodore. Looks better now than it did then:
This has to be right up there too:

Stock for stock I still think the R/T Charger is a better looking car than the Falcon Coupe. Falcon Coupe's are awesome with huge tyres, lowered and well tastefully modified, but comparing stockers to stockers I still think the R/T Charger is the best looking Aussie two-door.

Old School has to be the XW/XY Flacons, pinnacle of old school Aussie muscle cool. Always have a great street presence, XBs look odd from some angles especially the way that from factory the wheels sit inside the guards about 2 miles..
My favourite though is the FG, clean, smooth, Euro inspired lines. Such a nice car that genuinely looks like it could and performance wise does compete with zee Germans. |

Anything between XW-XB. To me it depends on the paint colour. Onyx Black, Lime Glaze, Wild Plum. The list goes on and on. I prefer XA sedans and XB Coupes. Then again, everytime i see a new colour combo i change.
But nothing is more intimidating than seeing the front end of a XY GT in your Rear-view mirror.

mmmmm....... I prefer the XA GT front end, it just has that GRRRRRRRRRR... factor that none of the others have. And in coupé form with the guards filled with "those" Aunger wheels like the example above it's just pure aggression and sex all rolled into one. If it was a woman she'd be dressed in black leather with thigh high stiletto boots and a whip. Bushbasher

I've liked them all - but if I had to pick an order it'd be XA Coupes (with the other fat-rear coupes following very closely behind) then the XW/XY, and a pretty big gap to the EF Falcon (gods, the first time I saw one of those I thought Ford had done everything just right for the era), and the BAII.
Runner ups would be the XM coupe, XD/XE, and FG. Somewhere pretty high (I can't decide just where because of the rest of the car's reputation), I'd have an EA. For all its mechanical faults I think the design has aged incredibly well. Kind of the opposite of the ugly-duckling-but-fine-car AU. |

Owned an XF, an EA and still plan to keep my BF XR6T. Love BF Typhoons.
Favourite shape though? XB GT! Glad it made it to that "short list" so I didn't have to pick "other". My dream weekender. Oh, and I'm not even 30 yet...until November anyway

As far as modern falcons go, I'd have to choose the B series XRs and FPV models. Their lines are just so good. Although I may be a bit biased owning a BF xr6 :3 had the choice between that and an FG xr6 and chose the BF. Not a fan of the bubbly FG look. I also love the AU XRs. They have a very subtle elegant/exotic look to them in my opinion. The EL XRs have a classic-modern look which I think make them stand out extremely well as a early to mid 90's car.
As for older Fords, anything falcon/fairlane pre 1970 is just simply a work of art in my opinion. My favourites would have to be the x series coupes though and the old gt cobras, oh my. I remember seeing one near my house when I was going to primary school and couldn't believe it when dad told me it was an aussie falcon.

I vote the XB Coups, for old school and I have always found the EB/ED model to have a very tough silhouette in the newer models. Still miss my ED sprint in cobalt blue, such a well rounded design with very under played look. Even my brothers EB Fairmont in black as it left the factory with only a set of 16in EF xr6 wheels was a bloody nice car.

The XB has been my favorite, ever since I was a kid ! For me, the Falcon never got closer to "Mustang bred" before or since!

I gave a bias vote and clicked on the XY / XW category and even though I love their shape, it’s the coupes I like best.
If there was a section for all Falcon coupes that would get my vote. They all look good followed by 60’s and 70’s GT’s of all types. I just can’t stop at one. |

I've always had a soft spot for any EB in white. Putting that Ford badge in the grille was one of the best decisions the Ford exterior design team made at the time. That front end just looks mean.
