You did, without a 2nd hand market, no-one would buy a Falcon new. Resale value is often at the forefront of peoples minds when buying new, and it's the potential for resale that dictates its resale value.

you might be surprised at how far ford forums reaches
i know someone with a ba who had electric window problems. i told him about the thread here and what they did to fix it, and he then told me he saw that thread. he googled the appropriate words and hey presto - ford forums gives all the info needed

i think there is a good chance those looking for a new ford could see more on here than they will ever see in the cars guide area. the only people who read the cars guide are those with an interest in cars. those who don't have an interest when looking for a car might google the car type and end up here

Unfortunately his job is not disseminating the truth it is drawing attention to his newspaper.

The only way to stop him is to ignore both he and his employer but unfortunately too many just fail to realise that getting upset and ranting about his articles is EXACTLY what he wants them to do.

Maybe he gets a kick out of ruffling the feathers here at AFF. Has a laugh about it between looking at porn sites.

Well, I'll post something but I can guarantee he won't find it funny.

Exactly, not unlike a few AFF member's here actually, if we ignore them they might just go away aswell but for some reason in my head I seriously doub't it.

For news, News Ltd is just that. News that is limited to Rupert's narrow view of the world. As with Rupert's other news services such as Fox News, it wouldn't surprise me if there is a political point being made.

Exactly. All the doom and gloom rubbish that gets thrown about on this Forum... is fuelling the Troll Dowling.

I hope everyone that does spew the doom and gloom are happy they are getting printed in the media (Well.. plagiarised in the media).

I never thought of it that way! Guy I work with just bought a Ford G6E as a retirement gift. I shook his hand and said "Thankyou for buying Australian and not some POS Korean hatch back." Turned out he worked at ford for 22 years in training and development and this was his 5th falcon!

Mine may only be a BA XT but at least I'm sort of supporting the Australian car industry. If I had the $$$ for a new car I know what I'd buy.

Dowling is just being Dowling in the sense that he has a vested interest in laying the boot into Ford.

We had a website called flight.org where a writer for aviation (Kate someone) at the daily telegraph was literally copying and pasting whole blogs and calling them her own stories to make herself look smarter than she actually was. This went on for around 12 months. In the majority of instances, it was verbatim.
So we wrote to her directly and asked her to at least attribute the source info to us - she denied any knowledge of us.

So we got her back by ceasing to explain terms and items for our less inclined readership, and reverted to using our more common anachronistic terms. Her articles literally read like a wikipedia page with her trying to explain what things meant. Then we started a disinformation campaign where we invented maintenance issues in the air such as altitude alerts from flushing toilets and Boeing needing to address the issue, as well as an A380 owned by a fictitious airline which twice had an uncommanded ascent. Sure enough, a week later an article appeared which again copied ours. Subsequently this cut and paste putana received a massive dressing down (as did the editor) when the airline that could be associated threatened to sue (she finally named us as the source).

Since then this lazy hack actually tries to source her articles, as well as check with the companies concerned for their opinion rather than her own.

How does this relate to the nefarious dufus Dowling?
Well I heard that at the Geelong skunkworks Ford Australia is working on a twin turbo 4.2 litre 6 with 520kw and 983Nm of torque for the upcoming Falcon Pheonix project set to take on the new VF HSV. It is to be mated to the new ZF 8 speed box, and have a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.43 seconds.
I also heard Ford Australia is about to debut the FG in Ohio as part of the global RWD platform, set to take on the likes of the 4 door corvette. Truly Ruly.

Man i cant wait for that idiot to loose his job.....and for ford to announce its building the new global ..... in australia Thats what he deserves for single handedly trying to sink ford au

You're also forgetting the crossover RTV G6E Falcon Wagon with 3.0TT TDCi and AWD mated to an 8 speed ZF gearbox. It's faster than Audi's RS6 Avant and is set to debut in Europe in 2015.

We of course know because Graziano secretly PM'd all the info to us. But information will be leaked at the 2013 AIMS.

Oh yeah I forgot that one.
I was just getting Dowling all prepped for the HSV destroyer, and hoping he'd convince Holden to find a bigger capacity V8.
