Police in north Queensland have been left scratching their heads at the behaviour of some teenage motorists.

Police arrested two teenage drink drivers in separate incidents after one crashed his car into the Ingham police station and the other decided to overtake a marked police car while he was speeding.

Police say a 19-year-old Ingham man will appear in Court after he tried to outrun police and ended up crashing into their workplace.

In a second incident near Townsville, police arrested an 18-year-old Condon man after he sped past them on the Flinders Highway.

Both men are due in Court early next month on charges including drink driving, dangerous operation of a vehicle and disobeying the speed limit.

Maybe he just wanted to turn himself in???

The other driver who over took police displays the same kind of intelligence:

Ahhh to be bullet proof again???
I can recall a story about a guy at school (1989) who decided to race an unmarked Police car at the lights and he was sober! Needless to say when we found out about at school he copped a lot of ribbing.

I believe its the Holiday double points to? jesus they are going to get slaughtered at the Court house and the person who won't be covered by insurance for his drink driving will most likely be in debt repairing the Police station....and i agree it ruins it all for P platers, when some idiotic P platers decide to drink drive, and do dangerous driving, my advice is if you want to hoon do it somewhere deserted by other motorists but im always against drink drivers and driving on the influence, no excuse for that

They should be fined for stupidity. A public canning would do the trick.

I mean speeding past a marked police car. I'd hate to see what his IQ is.
