hey guys im new to this forum and also new to working with fords. I have just brought a ba 6cyl motor as i am doing a conversion with it on my gu nissan patrol and i was wondering wat are the main differeces between a standard 6cyl and an xr6 motor and wat sort of basic power up grades can i do with out puting a turbo on it?cheers

the only difference between BA XR/Ghia and XT/Futura/Fairmont are the spark plugs for some reason! And if your going Auto the XR/Ghia has different shift points they are a little firmer and also because they came with 3.45 diff ratio.

If your talking AU I6s they had two variants - I6 - 156kw and I6 with VCT - 170 something....
