Very simple answert to that one.... BF Xr6 Turbo or Typhoon.... Then mod the hell out of it... Great street manners. Creature conforts. Still get 9-10 L/100K and blow the doors off the majority of built cars......

I would buy this:
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11290999
And spend the change on a track hack or heart transplant for the coupe.

OR

I'd go for an FPV Pursuit ute. That would/should get a good example BA II with not too many km on the clock.

That's a bit rough man? The point of the thread is to say what you'd buy with $30K, not to pick apart peoples choices. You said you wanted a VW, I don't see anyone here ripping your choice. Chill.

Thats exactly right.
It was also clearly stated in the very first post.
I specifically said that picking on others selection is not on so this wouldnt turn into a bytch fest which inturn gets the thread locked.

Start another thread if you want to discuss the short comings of another members selection.

Last time around I bought a WRX for $27k. This time around I'd probably go an XR6T or SS. If I could a good F6 or Clubsport then even better

Either a good condition BF II Fairmont Ghia in Ego with the Cashmere Leather (preferably with the 3V V8 if available although there might not be any) or a near-new LT/LV XR5 Turbo Focus with leather, bluetooth and sunroof.

$28k - BF II Fairmon Ghia with DVD Headrests installed (Here)

$30k - FULLy optioned LV XR5 Turbo with Leather, Reverse Sensors, Sunroof AND Cruise Control aftermarket. Very nice. Here

Definitely the XR5 Turbo out of those 2.

At this point it would be an F6 or a GT(P) - 05-06ish.
Would be a hard decision to make too.

If i had a shed to keep a car out of the weather, i would have to re-evaluate my decision i think and maybe look at a 50's cruiser instead.

A Liberty GT wagon, manual, in either white or black. The newest/best I could find for the budget.

If I plan on having it for a long time, T3 TE/TS

probably: a FD RX7, Evo 6.5 Makinnen, PRB or similar cheapy clubman, worked Suzuki Cappucino (230kw from .66 litres), DARE G6, Porsche 944 turbo.

Getting silly: Coilovers a TODA 2.0 litre B18 for my Integra, Alfa 105 GTV (2.0 litre engine with the 1750 grille), 66 Mustang Fastback, 71 Cuda

maybe: a nice comfortable long legged tow car.

Yeah me to.

Already got the car I've always wanted so second choice would have to be a VH Charger or maybe a Dodge Challenger that needed a bit of work.
