Going by the article this was a major drama to the bean counters as it would slow up the production line.
Yes, that was to do with the fitment of the panhard rod (rememberd reading it in the old SUPER FORD mag). I had forgotten about that untill you mentioned the exhust mod. Will go to newsagents tomorrow to get AMC mag.

Have they changed their rules at Bowdens about taking pics of the cars now?
I thought it was strictly no cams allowed......

I reckon thats awesome Mr V8Falconsrule... thanks!

One day I'll get up there...

Though the shots i've seen in magazines, they've got them in a different shed... so obviously things get moved around occasionally !

Great shot of the 4 PHASES too...

Thanks mate !

no worries, always happy to help where i can. yeah they have a couple of sheds dotted around the property apparently. all these cars are in the one shed, there is a ground floor level- no windows hence why the pics are darker, and then an upper level where the rest of the tour takes place. for more piccies go here- http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11219708 .

and our group was allowed cameras, but i'm not sure about the open days.

And what would this car be worth on today's market.. I know it would not be affected by the current downturn in musclecar prices, as it is the only genuine production Ph4 and is part of Ford history and the supercar scare of the 70's, I would think well over a million dollars.. any ideas to it's worth.. must be the most collectable non race car Ford ever produced and thanks also must go to the current owner for protecting this car for such a long time as if not for him this car could have been lost to all of us forever.. IMO..Cheers Barney

He could probably name his price. I'd take a stab and say 2 million minimum. It would have to be the rarest and most highly desirable Australian Ford.

bowdens is , quite simply- heaven on earth!

Its a family business, started by David Bowden. They have collected some of the rarest and most collectable cars, with an emphasis on Australian racing cars- particularly from the muscle car era.

Their love of cars has developed into a range of car care products, and holding days to share their collection with other enthusists (or the lucky few, as i call us)

If you ever get the chance to go - do it, you won't be dissapointed!

Yep I agree he could probably name his price and I think your on the money at around 2million$$... sure its a limited market at that money but would think it would be no harder to sell any rare piece of artwork or rare coin as it would have to the rarest Aussie production car Ford ever produced. Thanks
