i did this last year i lost 10kg in the first 5 weeks then about 1kg a week after that. which i was very happy with

as people have already said. its the hardest at the start...i had massive head aches(from not having caffine and sugar) and i felt really sick but i kept at it and it was easy. easter kinda stuffed me hehe but ill be back on it soon once the chocolate is gone!

Sound like the detox diet I do every 6 months. No sugar, no coffee, no alcohol, no pasta (That's the bit I hate), no dairy!!

You lose heaps of weight on detox too.

I am amazed at how many Ford Forum members are overweight

Is it because we Drive our cars everywhere & do not walk etc or is it a sign of the times lol?

I must admit most car Girls I have ever known have been Porky while the beach Chicks are Vego's & Slim

Anyways good luck with ya Diets, which reminds me I am a few kilos overweight & maybe I will look into this TF Diet

Well, Day 2 and I must say that today was better than yesterday.

From about 2pm yesterday to around 10am today I was like a lion with a splinter - grouchy and cranky as. Last night after dinner was pretty hard as I was still hungry. But I planned my day a bit smarter today. I brought with me a salad to have with my soup for lunch and am eating an apple and jelly for afternoon tea. This still leaves me with an apple and jelly for after dinner.

Also, the headaches aren't as bad as I thought, I'm still having decaf coffee and also my allotted 3 cups of tea.

So hopefully tomorrow is better. One thing for sure, I don't feel bloated like I used to.

I lost 20kg in about 3months, put a lot of it back on now, got 2months worth sitting in a box i've had for like 2 months, should really go back on it.

I went on the TF diet for a month when I weighed in at 79kg (166cm tall BMI 29), got down to 69kg then ended up so badly constipated that was at the hospital.
Gained 3kg in 4 days due to being so blocked up!
I did everything right, ate heaps of vegies, the fibre in the shakes etc, but it obviously wasnt right for MY body.
Tried it again about 6 months later, lasted 2 weeks before ending up back at the hospital.....not pleasent and the people at the chemist were not helpful at all and couldnt accept that maybe it isnt right for everyone.
Gained all but 2 kgs back.
Went to the doctors andshe put me on a course of Duramine. With the help of that, regular gym sessions and calorie counting I lost 12kg (77kg down to 65kg BMI 25).
Now with just watching what I eat and some exercise (netball once a week and walking the dog) I have maintained that weight for the last 4 months.
The TF diet can be somewhat unrealistic due to lack of carbs and caffeine but it seems to work for a lot of people.
My advice is input vs output, less calories in and more calories burnt up.
There is a great computer program called Calorie King that is ridiculously simple to use and very eye opening.

like someone else said you have to WANT to do it... and if you follow it to the nth degree you can lose a lot of weight, guys quicker than girls. i took up on the diet due to insulin resistance.. somewhat similar but not the same as diabetes, so the low sugar and low carb aspect was great for me. any bread, pasta or cereal type substance and i bloat up like a walrus at a buffet... gee i miss bread and pasta :P

anyways, back onto a serious note.... good luck with it, and let us know how you go i've just jumped back on this week and have dropped close to 1.5kg in 4 days...

Hey Guys

Very good friend of mine has been on the TF diet now for over 12 mths , And has followed it religously only allowing himself spoils for chrissy and b'days. He was 168 kg when he started , as of last week he has lost 62 kg and says he has never felt better in his life. As for the constipation some talked about , he found using a simple fibre supplement solved any troule he has at the start.

I personally have never seen someone loose weight like he has and still feel good

Same thing allways but not everything suits the everyone.

It is more a lifestyle / work plan as well
I had an accident in my job back in 2004 - broke my ankle and knee
I am 192 cms tall and was 110kgs then went to to 145 kgs in 2 years while on rehab and non operational duties ate too much and drank too much that is just our culture
I was cleard in the begining of 07 and went back into the full swing of work and just being active all day i am back to 115 kgs just by moving all day
I still drink and eat too much but hey I burn it off most days
