Default Anyone got something similar to this?

Looking around looking for something to put in a double din slot in an AU Fairlane instead of the normal factory stereo. Has anyone bought something similar to this from there?

What brand have people gone for and why? Why wouldn't this type of unit be any good.

Thumbs down

Cheap chinese crap with no warranty, made up of parts bin components. Spend your money on a well renowned brand, and enjoy the unit for 5 years or more rather than 1 year.
Funny thing with this is, a FAQ about the GPS maps in the description suggests that there are no map updates available, so put up with a map from 2003 most likely.
I like this comment ...

For buyers outside of Australia, you will need to supply your own map. There are no support available for non-Australian Map.
WTF?

Go for Sony, Alpine, Pioneer, Clarion, Kenwood, etc.

Piece of S***.

I got the double din Kenwwod DDX6039.

Really good unit for $999 from Strathfield. Optional Nav unit for an extra $1000 though which I'll be getting in a month.
